Unofficial Holiday: Social Media Day
Just when you thought social media couldn’t bring us SM geeks any closer, our technology, innovation and networking has embarked us to a new level, the unofficial Social Media Day. According to Mashable, June 30 was chosen as the day to “acknowledge and celebrate the revolution of media becoming social.” Revolution indeed. Social media has brought so many people together, ideas have been created, and positive changes are being made. It is truly safe to affirm that social media is here to STAY!
With the rise of social media in the Washington, DC area it wouldn’t be like us to not join in on this festive occasion. I celebrated my love for social media by attending an event hosted by Melanie Spring of Sisarina (@Sisarina) and Lisa Byrne of DCeventjunkie.com (@dceventjunkie) at the Science Club. It was an excellent event and I honestly can’t express how much LOVE was spreading at the event. Lots of hugs, camera flashes, smiles, spilled drinks, laughs and much more. For anyone who didn’t experience what I did last night, how sad for you.
Enjoy the pics!

You summed up the event last night perfectly — so much fun! And, I’m glad you have pics to capture how especially great you looked last night in purple. Lol to the caption about the iPhone Bump feature. xoxo
Thanks for the write up lady! Stay strong, you will prevail
Good stuff, lady. Love the pics. I’m totally snagging the one of the four of us. ;o)
